Rick and Morty Kingdom Balls #[nn]
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection brings together the 2025 miniseries that sends Rick and Morty into a bizarre medieval fantasy realm where they must navigate a kingdom built around sentient, competitive sports balls. Written by Alex Firer and illustrated by Fred Stresing, the story blends the show's signature sci-fi chaos with absurdist tournament action.
In "Rick and Morty Kingdom Balls [Part One]," Morty stumbles upon a mysterious, scrotum-handled sword from Rick’s past as a Ball Blader—a warrior sworn to uphold order across the Story Realms, deadly realms born from classic conflict archetypes. When Morty accidentally activates the blade, it tears open a portal that pulls Rick, Morty, and Jerry into the first Realm, where the battle is "Man v Man." Written by Josh Trujillo and Ryan Little, with art by Jarrett Williams and colors by Hank Jones, this issue features a cover by Jarrett Williams.

Among Rick’s things, Morty discovers a scrotum-handled shining sword dating back to Rick’s days as a member of the Ball Bladers, a brotherhood that would “wield this weapon with honor and grace to bring order and glory to the four Story Realms.” The Story Realms being “deadly physical manifestations of the great story frameworks”, which are all about different types of conflict. Morty’s mishandling of the sword results in a portal opening and swallowing-up Rick, Morty, and Jerry (who just happened to blunder into the moment) and depositing them in the first Story Realm's conflict “Man v Man”.
