Rick and Morty Kingdom Balls #[nn]
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection brings together the 2025 miniseries that sends Rick and Morty into a bizarre medieval fantasy realm where they must navigate a kingdom built around sentient, competitive sports balls. Written by Alex Firer and illustrated by Fred Stresing, the story blends the show's signature sci-fi chaos with absurdist tournament action.
In "Rick and Morty Kingdom Balls [Part One]," Morty stumbles upon a mysterious, scrotum-handled sword from Rick’s past as a Ball Blader—a warrior sworn to uphold order across the Story Realms, deadly realms born from classic conflict archetypes. When Morty accidentally activates the blade, it tears open a portal that pulls Rick, Morty, and Jerry into the first Realm, where the battle is "Man v Man." Written by Josh Trujillo and Ryan Little, with art by Jarrett Williams and colors by Hank Jones, this issue features a cover by Jarrett Williams.
When Morty stumbles upon Rick’s ancient scrotum-handled sword—once wielded by the legendary Ball Bladers—he accidentally opens a portal that drags Rick, Morty, and the unwitting Jerry into the first of the Story Realms: a brutal, rule-bound arena where the conflict is simply “Man v Man.”
In "Rick and Morty Kingdom Balls [Part Two]," Rick’s descent into a Dreamless state has left the multiverse unraveling, his lost Dream Ball now in the hands of Julio—the enigmatic leader of the Casteratis and a figure from Rick’s shadowed past as a Ball Blader. In the Story Realm of "Man v Nature," Morty and Jerry encounter Gargan the Nature Man, a fellow Ball Blader whose skills and wisdom may be the key to reclaiming Rick’s lost dream—and helping Morty step into his own role as a blader.
In "Rick and Morty Kingdom Balls [Part Three]," Rick and Morty find themselves trapped in the realm of Man vs. Society, where Julio—once a fellow Ball Blader and now a tyrant of collective dreams—wields the fury of a broken community against them. With Morty’s unshakable, innocent hope as their only weapon, Rick must confront the past and unravel Julio’s twisted vision before the realm collapses entirely—only to be hurled, against their will, into the unknown Shadow World of Man vs. Self.
In the final realm of conflict, "Man v Self," Julio traps Rick, Morty, and Jerry in a world where every person is split between who they are and who they dream of becoming. As the boundaries between reality and aspiration begin to blur, Rick must confront whether he can fix this fractured realm—or if Julio’s plan to merge all dreams and selves will leave everything unrecognizable.
