Morty and Ser Silke enter the Dank Forest from one end, while Rick and Ser Marius enter it from the other. Rick and Morty must each complete an Impossible Task before they can resume their respective journeys to find the missing children of the kingdom. Rick must vanquish "dark versions" of himself and Ser Marius, while Morty must destroy a shape-shifting gelatinous cube in the form of a Loreli. Each prevails and the two traveling parties meet in the middle of the Dank Forest. There they encounter the Jessica-sorceress, who offers the truth about herself... and about "King Jerry".
