Even on the ski slopes, Richie Rich can't help leaving a trail of cash — the cover of this 1979 Harvey issue shows the "Poor Little Rich Boy" zipping downhill on red skis, dollar bills scattering behind him in the snow as onlookers above can only guess at the identity of such an extravagant skier. That cheerful speech bubble — "I can't tell who it is… but it MUST be Richie Rich!" — captures perfectly the gentle, good-natured humor that made this series such a warm read. Issue #40 of Richie Rich Riches is a fun slice of late-'70s Harvey charm, promising a "treasure chest of happiness" right on the cover.
