In "Man of the House," Richie Rich is given the big responsibility of being the "man of the house" while his father is away fishing—only to quickly find himself outmaneuvered by Cynthia Van Friggle, who takes charge of their pretend game of house with full authority. As the "lady of the house," Cynthia puts Richie through a series of chores and playful demands, leaving him exhausted and ready to trade places. When the mothers return, the roles shift in a way that gives Richie a new appreciation for his father’s daily struggles.
