Richie Rich #94

Even at the beach, Richie Rich can't escape his extraordinary luck — this June 1970 Harvey Comics issue finds the "Poor Little Rich Boy" wide-eyed and splattered as a massive oil geyser erupts right through his sand castle, dollar signs flying through the air around him. Shovel in hand and wearing his monogrammed red swim trunks, Richie looks equal parts stunned and resigned, which pretty much sums up life when you're that rich. It's a wonderfully absurd snapshot of the charm that made this series a staple of the Harvey Comics lineup.
