A milestone hundredth issue for Harvey's beloved "Poor Little Rich Boy," and the cover captures his irrepressible spirit perfectly: Richie Rich, wearing jersey number 11, cheerfully hands over a fistful of cash to a wide-eyed teammate right on the football field, while two other players in green-and-gold uniforms look on in bewilderment — bills scattered freely across the grass at their feet. It's a wonderfully charming snapshot of Richie's generous, money-is-no-object personality, and reaching issue #100 in 1970 makes this a satisfying landmark for fans of Harvey Comics' most enduringly wholesome character.
