Richard Dragon #9
Issue #9 of DC's Richard Dragon series pits the martial arts master against a seemingly overwhelming horde — the cover, penciled by Scott McDaniel and inked by Andy Owens, shows a shirtless, bare-backed Dragon standing resolute as a swarm of glowing-eyed demonic creatures closes in around him from every angle, bathed in an ominous crimson light. The bold tagline "Versus the Devil!" leaves little doubt that Dragon's legendary calm is about to be tested to its absolute limit. Chuck Dixon's script and Zach Howard's interior art promise the kind of disciplined, hard-hitting action that made this 2005 series a rewarding read for fans of DC's street-level fighters.
