Stenographer Judy bets her fellow employees she’ll get a date with woman-hater Paul, although she already has a boyfriend, Scott. Judy and Paul go out and are seen by Scott. Both Paul and Scott want Judy to commit to an exclusive relationship, but she stalls them. On another date with Paul, Judy discovers he is terribly jealous and possessive. He proposes marriage but she refuses. “If I can’t have you, no man will!” declares Paul and tries to strangle Judy, but Scott saves her. Paul, who for some reason isn’t charged with attempted murder, fires Scott and Judy. A year later, they are wed.
