Washington Irving's haunted hollow gets a fresh chapter with this 2025 IDW series from writer Casey Gilly and artist Savanna Mayer. Savanna Mayer's cover art is immediately arresting: a dark-haired figure in period dress holds cardinal-red birds in each raised hand while a larger bird spreads its wings at the center, all connected by crimson threads that also bind an inverted golden-haired figure below — two people mirrored and tethered across a swirling storm of scarlet wings. It's a moody, elegantly unsettling image that sets a gothic tone perfectly suited to a return trip to Sleepy Hollow.
