Resurrection Man #9

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Resurrection Man #9 (July 2012) promises a brutal clash as the cover — rendered by Rafael Albuquerque — throws Mitch Shelley into a chaotic collision with the Suicide Squad. King Shark's massive jaws dominate the upper right while Deadshot fires point-blank, a skeletal figure lunges from above, and a red-haired woman scrambles into the fray — all converging on a desperately outstretched hand at the center of the composition. With writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning at the helm and interior art by Andres Guinaldo and Jesús Saiz, "Dead Heat" looks like exactly the kind of outnumbered, high-stakes confrontation this series does so well.
