Resurrection Man #27

The series finale of Resurrection Man arrives with issue #27, and Butch Guice's cover sets a fittingly somber, rain-soaked tone — a determined figure strides through a downpour in a cemetery, arms outstretched, while a dark winged angel statue looms dramatically above on a stone monument. The stormy grays and deep blues give the whole image a haunting, elegiac weight that feels just right for a story titled "The Ends of the Earth." Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning close out their run here, and this 1999 DC issue makes for a compelling final chapter to one of the era's more thoughtful superhero series.
