Reggie and Me #79

Report card day has arrived at Riverdale High, and the cover — penciled by Stan Goldberg and inked by Jon D'Agostino — captures the chaos beautifully: Archie beams while Veronica delivers a hilariously backhanded compliment ("Of course you passed, Archie… what teacher in her right mind wants you back again next year?"), as Betty, Jughead, Reggie, and a weary teacher look on clutching their own cards. Up top, a pair of students struggle comically with dumbbells, setting a playful tone that runs through the whole cover. Reggie and Me #79 from 1975 is a warm slice of Archie humor at its most cheerfully relatable.
