Reggie Mantle is in classic form on Stan Goldberg and Rudy Lapick's cover, decked out in a Riverdale basketball uniform and boasting that being elected team captain hasn't changed him one bit — while his teammates, including Archie and a pair of cheerleaders, are quick to agree he's the same loudmouth he's always been. The good-natured ribbing and bright 1979 team colors capture everything that makes this series such a fun showcase for Reggie's lovably inflated ego. With a story called "Boogie Battle" waiting inside, courtesy of writer George Gladir and artist Stan Goldberg, this issue promises plenty of laughs at Reggie's expense.
