Refrigerator Full of Heads #2

Part of Joe Hill's Hill House Comics imprint under DC Black Label, Refrigerator Full of Heads #2 delivers the unsettling charm the series promises right from its cover. Sam Wolfe Connelly's painted image shows two blood-splattered figures — one in a "Frankie Say Relax" shirt, the other in a white top — leaning against the tailgate of a pickup truck, an eerie orange glow burning behind them amid overgrown brush, their sunglasses and almost casual posture making the carnage on their clothes feel all the more unnerving. With writing by Rio Youers and interior art by Tom Fowler with colors by Bill Crabtree, this is atmospheric horror done with real style.
