Tathra, a priest of Set, sacrifices Nanu to birth the demon Sutekh and is subsequently killed by Sutekh. Sefkh, another priest, flees to Carnolla where a son of Sutekh in the guise of Tathra finds him. Sonja has established a school nearby and is in Carnolla with two of her students Lyla and Xoana. They confront and slay the demon, saving Sefkh.
