Red Sonja #22
The cover by Jae Lee tells a striking story in negative space: Red Sonja — her fiery red hair unmistakable — dangles helplessly from the grip of one enormous cloaked figure above, while a second robed, blood-spattered creature looms from below, its clawed hand raised in anticipation. The stark white background makes the threat feel all the more inescapable, turning the She-Devil with a Sword into something unexpectedly small and vulnerable against these towering, shrouded presences. With Mark Russell continuing his "Angel of Death" arc in issue #22 from Dynamite, this is exactly the kind of cover that makes you need to know what happens next.
