Mirka Andolfo's cover for this 2021 Dynamite issue sets an immediately unsettling tone: a wounded Red Sonja slumps against a gnarled tree beside a pale, white-haired companion, while a dark-gloved figure looms in the foreground clutching a large scythe — blood visible on both seated figures suggesting the danger is very real. "Mother: Chapter Two" continues the creative team of Andolfo, Blengino, Cafaro, Di Francia, and Otsmane-Elhaou in what promises to be a moody, fairy-tale-tinged chapter in Sonja's saga. If the cover's quiet dread is any measure, this is a run with atmosphere to spare.
