“"Me show you Po-ko..."”

In "Me show you Po-ko...", Red Ryder and Little Beaver head to Crow Mesa in search of gold to save the ranch, guided by a hunch and an old prospector’s desperate cry. When they rescue the man from a trap set by his treacherous partner, a high-speed chase unfolds through Long Canyon, where Little Beaver outsmarts the thief to recover the stolen gold and burro—just as Red arrives. Written by Gaylord Du Bois and illustrated by Bill Ely, with a striking cover by Fred Harman, this 1949 Dell classic captures the spirit of the Western frontier with quiet heroism and classic adventure.
