“Gold!”

In "Gold!", the dusty frontier town of Red Ryder springs into action when Doc triggers a hidden booby trap, revealing a kidnapping. With Chet held captive by outlaws, Ted takes a daring risk—disguising himself as an onion digger to sneak close to the enemy camp. As he works under the cover of night, a single Morse code tap from the shadows hints at a secret signal, and the real danger begins to unfold. Written by Gaylord Du Bois and illustrated by Harry Parkhurst, with a cover by Fred Harman, this 1948 adventure blends suspense and frontier grit in a classic Dell comic.
