Red Mask helps rescue a young boy named Johnny from a territorial jail where he has been imprisoned on false charges, with letters from Red Mask encouraging the boy's release. After securing Johnny's freedom, Red Mask takes him to a ranch to give him a fresh start and better life, but a devastating tornado strikes the area, forcing Red Mask to rescue both Johnny and a woman falling from a building during the disaster. Two weeks later, Red Mask is tracking down the outlaws responsible for Johnny's troubles, discovering them hiding in a foothill beyond a gap, and pursues them across the grasslands on horseback.
