Red Lanterns #36

Part of DC's sprawling 2015 "Godhead" crossover event, Red Lanterns #36 brings Act 2 to a fever pitch in its fourth installment. The cover, by Scott Hepburn, crackles with tension as a heavily armored New God figure dominates the foreground, fist blazing with energy, while a fierce red-eyed, auburn-haired Red Lantern looms in the background amid a storm of crimson light — the rippling black-and-white pattern surrounding them giving the whole image a disorienting, almost cosmic intensity. With Charles Soule writing and J. Calafiore on interior art with colors by Gabe Eltaeb, this is a series firing on all cylinders during one of the New 52's most ambitious Green Lantern-universe storylines.
