Red Hood and the Outlaws #35
This New 52 chapter from Scott Lobdell drops the Outlaws into what looks like a dangerous swamp setting, with the cover by Jorge Jiménez capturing all three teammates in intense action — Red Hood lunging forward mask-less and grappling a striking snake bare-handed, Arsenal crouching low with sword and bow at the ready, and Starfire airborne above them both with glowing pink energy crackling from her hands. The wild, overgrown environment and the trio's battered, urgent postures make the "Burned" story title feel entirely earned. Geraldo Borges handles interior art with inks from Paul Neary, and colorists Richard and Tanya Horie round out a creative team that kept this series reliably exciting through its 2014 run.
