Reaver #3

This third issue of Image/Skybound's dark fantasy series Reaver presents a striking portrait of a grey-skinned, shaven-headed figure whose crimson, cracked eye and cross-shaped facial markings radiate quiet menace — a deep starfield visible within the sweeping lines of her helmet giving the whole image an unsettling cosmic weight. The restrained palette and bold graphic design make for one of the more arresting covers of 2019, a testament to the creative vision of Justin Jordan, Rebekah Isaacs, and Alex Guimarães working in sharp harmony.
