Nurse Jeannie marries Mike, who lives with his widowed sister-in-law Irma and her four children. Jeannie discovers his duties as uncle leave little personal time for his new wife, and she also disapproves of how he spoils the children. Irma suggests Jeannie is jealous of them and Mike refuses to support his wife's arguments. Jeannie is preparing to leave when Mike's niece Gwen says her mother is planning to marry Mike when he divorces Jeannie. Mike overhears: Irma and her children will move to their own house, and he and Jeannie will be alone at last.
