Kathy's widowed mother runs a coal town boarding house. As a child, Kathy would "sell" her kisses to the miners, but as a teen she puts a stop to it. Colby is attracted to Kathy but calls her "cheap stuff!" Time passes and Kathy inherits money from one of the miners and the boarding house from her mother. Remembering Colby, she doesn't date anyone until Joe comes along. Colby returns and Kathy says she's been faithful to him, but Colby is suspicious of Joe and the miner who left Kathy money. Joe punches Colby. Kathy realizes it's Joe she loves.
