The shadowy grounds of Ravencroft Institute make for a genuinely unsettling backdrop as a determined woman in a red top squares off against a massive, monstrous creature wrapped in tattered bandages and barbed wire, lightning crackling overhead. Kyle Hotz's cover art captures a raw, gothic intensity — the beast's snarling maw and clawed hands feel genuinely threatening against the asylum's glowing windows looming in the darkness behind them. Frank Tieri and Angel Unzueta's series continues to lean hard into Marvel horror territory, and this fourth issue promises the Institute for the Criminally Insane is living up to every syllable of its name.
