Rat Queens #2 from Image's Shadowline imprint puts the Queens front and center in a breathtaking spot — four fierce adventurers scrambling across crumbling stonework as an enormous, red-eyed serpentine monster looms overhead, its wide-open maw lined with jagged teeth and a curling tongue practically swallowing the frame. Owen Gieni's cover work is wonderfully dynamic, packing real personality into each Queen — from the staff-wielding figure in red to the wide-eyed blonde ducking low in the foreground — while that massive creature threatens to bring the whole ruins down around them.
