Walter Simonson's Ragnarök reaches its sixth issue with a cover that pulls no punches: a white-haired, skull-faced figure looms over a fallen golden-haired skeletal warrior, gauntleted hands gripping the downed figure while an eerie golden light radiates between them against a deep crimson backdrop. The circular archway framing the scene gives it a ceremonial, almost funerary weight that feels perfectly suited to a series steeped in Norse myth and aftermath. Colored by Laura Martin and lettered by John Workman, this is a striking close to the opening arc of Simonson's passion project at IDW.
