“In a Stranger Land”

Part of the 1994 "Starblast" crossover event, this issue drops Quasar into a genuinely unsettling situation, as the cover's bold tagline "In a Stranger World!" promises. John Heebink's cover art dominates with the enormous, impassive face of the Stranger looming behind a green, energy-dispersed figure caught in some kind of cosmic machinery, while Quasar himself and a blue-helmeted ally look on with clear alarm in the foreground. Mark Gruenwald's cosmic corner of the Marvel universe rarely felt more vast or unpredictable than in this stretch of issues.
