Scott Kurtz puts a playful noir spin on the PvP gang with this "Jade Fontaine Mysteries" cover, depicting a red-haired woman caught in a dramatic spotlight while a shadowy, gun-toting figure looms from above and curious onlookers — including what appears to be a small green creature — crowd the edges of the frame. A split-panel inset shows the same woman coolly reviewing documents against a stormy, lightning-lit window, suggesting a case very much in progress. It's a charming genre parody that makes this February 2010 Image issue a fun standout in the long-running series.
