Scott R. Kurtz's long-running gaming culture comedy takes a sharp stylistic turn with this 2007 Image issue, whose bold red-and-black cover channels vintage pulp menace. A glowering cartoon cat rears back wielding a massive pipe wrench, rendered in a striking high-contrast silhouette style punctuated by ink splatter — and the tagline "Kill Pussycat Kill!" makes clear this isn't business as usual for PvP. Kurtz handles every creative role here, and the result is a cover with real visual punch.
