This opening chapter of "The Slavers" — a six-part arc from Garth Ennis, Leandro Fernández, and Scott Koblish — arrives under a Tim Bradstreet cover that sets a deeply unsettling tone: a frightened, disheveled young woman crouches in shadow while a dark, looming figure hovers over her, weapon raised.
