In "Passages difficiles," Sophie begins to grasp the deeper mysteries of the pentacle as Promethea [Bill] guides her through the peril of entanglement with the physical world. As Mayor Baskerville and Benny Solomon reach the hospital, the Painted Doll unleashes a Teddy Bomb into the crowd, sending shockwaves through the scene.
