Promethea #2
This second volume of the French-language edition of Alan Moore and J.H. Williams III's Promethea continues the metaphysical journey of Sophie Bangs as she explores the power and history of the mythical Promethea. Collecting issues from the original series, the story deepens into the nature of imagination, magic, and the boundaries of reality.
In "No Man's Land," Sophie faces a deadly threat when Benny Solomon unleashes the Goetia upon her—only to summon not just herself as Promethea, but also Promethea [Grace], Promethea [Margaret], Promethea [Bill], and Promethea [Barbara] in a desperate stand. Written by Alan Moore and illustrated with breathtaking detail by J. H. Williams III, with inks by Mick Gray and colors by Jeromy Cox, this 2001 issue delivers a surreal, high-stakes confrontation where myth and madness collide. The cover, penciled by Williams III and inked by Gray, captures the moment’s intensity in a striking, dreamlike composition.
