American Eagle arrives at a Cree village to convince settlers to leave Little Elk Canyon peacefully, but a Native American leader named Colan plans to trick the settlers into abandoning their claim to the land. After arranging to have the settlers' rifles loaded with blanks, Colan and his war party prepare to ambush them on the lake at dawn. However, American Eagle discovers the deception and warns the settlers, leading to a confrontation as Colan's forces launch their attack from the water.
