Johnny Ryan's Prison Pit reaches its sixth installment, and the cover says everything you need to know about this series' gleefully unhinged energy: a mosaic-textured, reptilian creature kneels on a vivid red background, gripping the severed — yet still-scowling — cybernetic head of what appears to be a green-skinned, brain-exposed monstrosity. Ryan's bold, flat linework and that striking crimson field give the image a raw, almost hand-painted intensity that has defined this series throughout.
