Pretty Violent #8

Pretty Violent returns with issue #8, and the cover makes absolutely no pretense about what this series delivers: a bone-crunching, blood-spattering brawl between a heavily armored, stocky opponent and a white-haired, yellow-suited hero who is very much on the receiving end of a massive punch. The dynamic top-down composition — with radiating lines amplifying the impact — captures the series' gleeful, over-the-top energy perfectly. If Pretty Violent ...with lots of swears wasn't already on your pull list in 2020, this Image Comics comeback issue is a solid reminder of why it should be.
