Glenn Fabry's painted cover for this February 2000 issue of Preacher is a genuinely unsettling close-up of a grotesquely distorted face — heavily malformed, one eye wide and staring, a fist raised toward the viewer — all stamped with a bold red "BANNED." It's a visceral image that captures exactly the kind of transgressive spirit Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon built this series on. "Dot the I's and Cross the T's" promises the series is still operating at full, unflinching intensity as it heads toward its conclusion.
