Powers #9

Powers returned to shelves in 2012 with this "All New" chapter, and Michael Avon Oeming's cover sets a suitably noir tone — a sharp-eyed young woman in a sleeveless top strides forward against a blue-washed cityscape, while a looming, faceless suited figure lurks behind her in the shadows. The cool, near-monochromatic palette and bold graphic linework that Bendis and Oeming built their reputation on are very much intact, promising the gritty, street-level atmosphere fans know well.
