Powers #37
Powers #37 brings the "Forever" arc to its seventh chapter with a cover portrait that commands immediate attention — a blonde woman in a bold black mask, cigarette dangling from her lips, staring out with cool, unsettling confidence. Michael Avon Oeming's stark, graphic linework makes her expression feel both glamorous and dangerous against the moody grey backdrop. Brian Michael Bendis and Oeming were firing on all cylinders in 2004, and this issue is a fine example of the series at its most stylishly atmospheric.
