Power Pack #32

Three of the Power Pack kids find themselves stuffed into trash cans, helpless beneath a looming, suspender-wearing gorilla-like creature who towers over them with an unsettling grin — a visual that immediately raises the question posed by the story title, "Who's the Villain?" Jon Bogdanove and Hilary Barta's cover does a great job of flipping the usual dynamic, making the young heroes look genuinely outmatched against their oversized captor. Louise Simonson and John Figueroa were reliably strong voices for Marvel's kid-powered team in 1987, and this issue looks like a fun, off-beat entry in the series.
