Porky Pig #36
In "Submarine Mountain," Porky Pig, Bugs Bunny, and Cicero find themselves in a bizarre twist of fate when an unexpected underwater peak rises beside their fishing boat in the Atlantic. As the mountain shifts and their vessel is stranded, they scramble to outwit the mysterious geological oddity—only to be rescued by a passing whale, leaving them with a strange artifact and a secret to keep. With the story written by Don R. Christensen and illustrated by Tony Strobl, this 1971 Western Comics adventure features dynamic art and a delightfully odd premise, all wrapped in a cover by Ralph Heimdahl, Phil De Lara, and Pete Alvarado.

Porky, Bugs, and Cicero are fishing in the Atlantic when an underwater mountain rises beside them. Their boat gets beached by the rising mountain, but when they fashion lines to lower it to ocean level, the mountain decides to submerge again. They are saved when their boat lands on top of a whale. In the process, an artifact from the mountain is washed onto their boat. When two curious seafaring strangers show up, Porky and Bugs do their best to hide their discovery.
