A missing dog named Dimple prompts a newspaper editor to offer a reward and assign the story to Poppo, who attempts to locate the animal. After a series of comic mishaps chasing lookalike dogs, Poppo discovers that the dog was mistakenly picked up by another family and has been living with them. The issue concludes with the dog being returned to its rightful owner, Mrs. Wonderwood, and Poppo receiving his reward from the newspaper.
