“Good Night, Blozo!”

From IDW's 2012 run of Popeye, issue #4 plants its flag — quite literally — with a cover by Bruce Ozella showing our one-eyed sailor planting the yellow "Spinachovia" banner while delivering a haymaker to a hulking, saber-wielding general in an elaborate green uniform. The stars flying from the big fellow's head say everything you need to know about how that confrontation is going. With Roger Langridge writing and Vince Musacchia on art, this looks like a wonderfully spirited chapter in IDW's take on the sailor man.
