“How Prince Swee'Pea Came from Spinachovia”

In "How Prince Swee'Pea Came from Spinachovia," Popeye recounts the tale of Swee'Pea’s royal origins, leading the duo on a journey back to the whimsical kingdom of Spinachovia. There, Swee'Pea’s rightful claim to the throne is tested in an unexpected showdown—via Monopoly—culminating in the restoration of the true king, Blozo, until Swee'Pea is ready to rule. Written by Nicola Cuti and illustrated by George Wildman, with lettering by Charlotte Jetter and cover art by Wildman, this 1972 Charlton issue brings a playful twist to the classic sailor’s world, all in a 20-cent comic.
