When Bloodhound Bud Bickram—a self-proclaimed crime-detection expert with a mail-order diploma—arrives in the big city looking to prove himself, Plastic Man agrees to take him along on what he thinks will be a harmless prank at an empty criminal hideout. Things take a dangerous turn when the Humdrum Heisters unexpectedly show up at the very same location, and the bumbling but determined Bud gets taken hostage before Plastic Man can intervene.
