Plankgas en Plastronneke #3

The third installment of Urbanus vertelt brings together the chaotic worlds of Plankgas en Plastronneke and Mieleke Melleke Mol in one wild package from Standaard Uitgeverij. Dirk Stallaert's cover captures the mayhem perfectly: a white-bearded man in a vivid yellow patterned suit lounges in an armchair hurtling along a roller-coaster track, while a gaggle of frantically grimacing cartoon kids tumbles around him in every direction. It's a wonderfully absurd 2007 snapshot of Belgian comics humor at its most gleefully unhinged.
