“Planet Fiction”

Planetary #9 arrives with a striking WildStorm cover by John Cassaday — a bold red-drenched composition where the series' title text cascades across the image in layered, repeating diagonals, while three figures emerge ghostlike from the crimson backdrop. The story is titled "Planet Fiction," and that evocative phrase echoes across the cover design itself, weaving through the typography like a visual mantra. Warren Ellis and Cassaday were deep into one of 2000's most compelling ongoing series here, and this issue's design alone signals something atmospheric and purposeful is waiting inside.
