Pix #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis debut volume of the 2017 series from Image collects the first story arc, following a young girl named Pix who finds herself in the middle of a bizarre and dangerous adventure after a strange weekend encounter. The book introduces a cast of quirky characters and blends humor with supernatural elements, setting the stage for the series' offbeat tone.
In "Comics Before Bed," Pix refuses to kiss the frog but agrees to his help—and that of her uncle, now an owl—when her neighbor Noah vanishes from his bed. As Pix is transformed into a winged rabbit, the family dog reveals he can speak with all creatures and leads a secret search, all while the real danger lies in the escaped monkey who’s captured Noah, unaware that the power to talk with animals belongs to the dog, not Noah. Written and illustrated by Gregg Schigiel, with colors by Paul Tutrone and Chris Dickey, and letters by John Green, this whimsical tale unfolds with quiet mystery and layered wonder. The cover, also by Gregg Schigiel, captures the story’s dreamlike tension.
