Pinky gets the ancient Egypt treatment on this March 1997 issue of DC's Pinky and the Brain, with cover art by Walter Carzon and Mike DeCarlo depicting a very grumpy, very thoroughly mummified mouse lurching forward against a golden hieroglyphic backdrop. The bandage-wrapped, wide-eyed figure — unmistakably Pinky — looks equal parts menacing and ridiculous, which is pretty much the perfect summation of this series' charm. With a story titled "The Mouse Who Would Be King," issue #9 promises the duo's trademark blend of absurd ambition and cheerful chaos.
