Pinky and the Brain #25

The cover of issue #25 says it all: Brain looms atop a rooftop gargoyle in a full Batman-style cape and cowl, brooding with magnificent self-importance, while Pinky — decked out in a Robin costume — dangles gleefully from a zip line shouting "WHEEE! HA HA HA! NARF!" It's a pitch-perfect sendup of Dark Knight theatrics, rendered with cheerful energy by cover penciler Walter Carzon and inker Horacio Ottolini. "The Dark Pinky Returns" promises the kind of warm, witty absurdity that made this DC/Warner Bros. series such a treat in 1998.
